Though our family has been making heirloom-quality furniture since 1927, honing a traditional hand-carving technique that is a current nominee for the UNESCO World Intangible Heritage List, there has been nothing in our history quite like our new brand, Zanat. The work leading up to its launch has included so much innovation and new thinking that we feel like a brand new startup. In many ways, Zanat continues a tradition of modern design & production principles that first gained media attention and industry awards for us when we launched Manulution in 2011, but our goals with the new brand go even further in terms of how we run our business (link to Universal Sustainability), how we design our products (link to Creations), and how we plan to market them (link to launch news?). Visit us in Cologne to learn more, and to see in person the debut of Zanat’s three-time Interior Innovation Award-winning Bosca line—designed in autumn of 2014 by some of the leading names in Scandinavian design and architecture: Monica Forster, Harri Koskinen, Gert Wingardh, and Sara Helder.
While in our family we have been making heirloom-quality furniture since 1927 and the hand-carving technique we developed is the current nominee for the UNESCO World Intangible Heritage List, the work that we’ve been doing during the past year to launch our new brand Zanat made us feel like a brand new start up. With Zanat we will continue to promote an approach to design that has been getting noteworthy design awards and media accolades since we launched our Manulution brand in 2011, but are also preparing a lot more innovations in terms of how we plan to run our business (for more information on this see the Universal Sustainability page under the Company menu), new products we plan to introduce and how we plan to market them. Visit us in Cologne to learn more and to be among the first to see Zanat’s triple Interior Innovation Award winning Bosca line designed during the autumn of 2014 by some of the leading names in Scandinavian design and architecture: Monica Förster, Harri Koskinen, Gert Wingårdh & Sara Helder.
